朱世平教授是聚合反應工程專家,加拿大皇家科學院院士,加拿大工程院院士,麥克馬斯特大學“杰出大學教授”,中國“長江學者”,現任香港中文大學(深圳)副校長。
聚合反應工程是高分子材料走出實驗室、走向市場的必經之路,朱教授在聚合動力學與反應器工程、高分子合成與表征、聚合過程建模與數字化生產、功能高分子產品工程等方面做出了諸多開創性工作,為國內外高分子生產企業的產品設計、工藝優化、問題診斷、質量升級和產能提升做出過許多實質性的貢獻。
朱教授已發表SCI論文360余篇,他引上萬次,培養高端人才120多名。
報告簡介:
Science is to discover and engineering is to innovate. Chemistry is to convert molecules. Chemical engineering deals with production and processing of materials and chemicals in safe, sustainable and profitable ways. Materials is to establish the structure-property relationships. Polymers are macromolecules having thousands of small molecules joint together in chain by covalent bonds. Presented in this seminar are a big picture and personal viewpoints on the wave of modern science, the evolution of engineering, and the development of advanced materials. Also presented are several research stories that include precision synthesis of polymers through modeling and digitalization, ... preparation of highly sensitive and strong foams that can feel mosquitos and stand for elephants.
